Rating Photos for unregistered users?

Hi,
I am using phoca gallery and it is terrific, i have Jcomments working with this and i was wondering would it be possible to allow non registered users to rate photos?

Is this still true? I don´t understand.. the categories are set to public, everyone can see them, so whats the point
of forcing people to register even when I want to show them a public gallery and I would like them to give me a star....

Hi, if you want to display public gallery, there is no problem to display it without registering.

For rating you need to have some behaviour which prevents from the abusing the rating - the best way is login of users.

Of course there are other methods, e.g. to creating special string (e.g. browser + IP + ...) and save it in database. This can have problems as this is not 100% protection and this can slow down your server (writing and checking the strings, etc.)

So for now there is only the login variation. Of course the gallery is open source project so if somebody find time to make other variant will be great and I will appreciate it a lot.
