Image description not showing

I have a question about the image description. I have a categorie in which I want the image description to show underneath the thumbs. Under preferences in Control Panel I have set the value of "Display Image Description in Box" to yes. However if I then go to my page only the bottom pictures show the description (see http://www.mpfeesten.nl/fotoalbum/categ ... -vlag.html)

- How to get the description underneath all the pictures?
- Would it be possible to set the description within the thumb-box (in place of the image-name) instead of outside it.
- Finally I would like to know if I can set this for just one categorie instead of the complete photo-album and if so, how?

Hi Roel,

regarding your first question: as I can see the description is below each of the pictures - but it is partly hidden for the upper pics. I assume it's a template issue - you should try first if with using a default template like rhuk_milkyway the error persists.

OK, I tried this morning as you suggested the default template Rhuk_milkyway. Now it does show the description underneath the pictures, however the text is directly over the borderline of the thumbbox, so it looks like it is blot out. Furthermore the text is cut after a single line, the second line doesn't show. As an example of what I mean see the screenprint at http://www.raaf-gelaen.nl/images/example.jpg.

So the question remains, how do I get my full description underneath all pictures preferrably in my own template?

Note: In both templates it seems to be a problem with the bottom-margin. If I set the margin of the box under preferences under the item "Category View Settings (List of Images)" to lets say 30, the text of the description does show. However, this margin is applied to all sides, so not only the bottom-margin is effected, all sides are. Not very nice. Logically I would say, adjust it in CSS, but then it will apply to all thumb-pictures. But the problem in that is that not all my categories and the photos in it have a description (and I don't want that either), just this one.

Hi, in parameters you can set the height for the box so you can increase it if your description has more lines, see:

I just updated to the most current version (2.6.2) and now my descriptions are hidden behind the images. ONLY the last images at the bottom of the page is showing the description. This was set-up and working fine until I updated today and I can't seem to get the description to show - it looks horrible. Please help!!!

Image Box Space to some value e.g. 30, etc
