Hi there,
I'm brand new to Phoca and Joomla, so simple language would be very much appreciated.
Using Phoca Gallery in Joomla (ver 1.5.14), I can only seem to display 18 images in an article. Any more and the whole page defaults to non-Joomla, non-framed page.
Any ideas very gratefully recieved.
Many thanks,
Dan.

Re: image limit
Hi Dan,
normally there isn't such a limit... Can you post a link to the site where this happens, ideally with one page with 18 or less and another page with more than 18 pictures?
Regards,
Ronny

Re: image limit
Many thanks for your reply Ronny,
Here's a link to a correctly displayed page with 12 images (works fine up to 18 pics):
http://www.danstreasurehunts.com/index. ... &Itemid=74
Here's a link to a page with 19 images - note the odd additional 'border' and degrading functionality:
http://www.danstreasurehunts.com/index. ... &Itemid=84
And here's a link to a wrongly displayed page with 20 images where it's all gone to pot:
http://www.danstreasurehunts.com/index. ... &Itemid=72
So to summarise 18 or less works fine, 19 images adds an extra wide 'border' collectively around the images, and 20 or more loses the Joomla page frames.
The site isn't live and is still very much in development at the moment. Thanks again for looking at this and looking forward to any thoughts you may have.
Regards,
Dan

Re: image limit
Hi,
in Firefox the two links look fine (same layout, borders, etc), only in IE the second link is displayed entirely without styling.
It looks like a template issue to me, but I'm not sure whats the influence of the 18 images...
try it with the Joomla! standard template. If it works, compare your templates structure with the standard.

Re: image limit
Thanks for that Reko. I had a sneaky feeling myself it might be a template/browser problem. Will have a look and let you know the outcome.
Cheers,
Dan.

Re: image limit
Hi, which version of PHP is running on the server. On some PHP4 servers there is problem with getting information about the used library for the plugin and this can do problems in obosolete versions of IE.
BTW - if you are displaying so much thumbnails, it is better to create a link to Phoca Gallery category and paste the description over the thumbnails.
