Show only parent categories on first page component link

Hi,

I just upgraded from 2.5.8 tot 2.6.1. Everything went well. I parameterized the component link of version 2.5.8, that only parent categories are shown at the first page. A click on the parent category leads you to the subcategorie. In version 2.6.1 the subcategories are still shown (http://familie.vangaalen.nu/index.php?o ... &Itemid=68). Does anyone know how to paramterize 2.6.1 so, that only the parent categories are shown at the first page (component link). Please help!

Hi Richard,

if I got it right you want to only display the categories like "Vakanties" and "Overige" on the main page, and if one clicks on one of those the subcategories like "2009 | Menorca"?

This should be able in the first section in the parameters of Phoca Gallery: there is a setting "Subcategories", if you set it to "No" it should be ok.

I already tried to set the parameter subcategories (first section) to no. If I do so, nothing is shown No parent and no subcategories.

then you need probably to set "Display empty categories" to Yes.
