Make visible if there are comments

I don't know if this is possible already, at least I didn't find a way... If it isn't it would be a useful enhancement:
It would be a very nice feature to make it visible if there are any comments for a special image or not. If comments are enabled a small icon is shown below each thumbnail, you can enter new comments or read existing ones if you click on that icon. If this icon e. g. would have another color if there are comments it would be easier for visitors of the gallery to find and read them. (I'm using JComments to enable commenting also for unregistered users.)
