PHOCAGALLERY_WARNUSERIMAGESTOOLARGE

Post by glatocha »

Hello.
This is my first post on this forum so: Hello Phoca Users.

I have fighting with phoca couple of months. Unfortunately I have many problems so I need your help.
Now I have the newest phoca update. And when user is trying to upload a photo the warning is displayed:

PHOCAGALLERY_WARNUSERIMAGESTOOLARGE

I didn't find any description in the documentation about this error, please help me what can be wrong.
The max file size is set up to 1920x1920 the max file size is 1,5MB. I am trying to upload a file 50kB with 300x300pix and I got an error.

Please help me.
My website is: www.fotomotyw.com.pl but it is in polish only.

I have found the parameter: PHOCAGALLERY_MAXIMUM_SIZE_USER_IMAGES and changed it to -1.
Does somebody know how to check actual value of the USER_IMAGES_SIZE ?

Next question is that I have set the max file size for upload to 3MB and max RES for 1920 (both)
When I tried to upload bigger file (in resolution) it is automatically changed to 1920 (smaller dimension rescaled and the longer us just cut to square)

Can I do somehow that it just display the error: FILE TO BIG or something similar?

Hi, if your resolution is higher then in parameters, then the file will be not uploaded. It will be not resized. Resizing can be done while java uploading but these are other parameters.

If you will try to upload larger file, then you get such or similar error message:
Image cannot be uploaded as its resolution is to high (640 x 480 px)

Hi, try to check the parameters, see which limitation is set there for the ucp. (resolution, size, ...)

hi,
i have the same problem
"Hi, try to check the parameters, see which limitation is set there for the ucp. (resolution, size, ...)"
  • - i try to upload a file with resolution = 20x16, and size 1k...
    - the control panel shows Uploader file[ Max Size: 2.86 MB, Max Resolution: 800 x 600 px ]
    - the gallery contains a lot of images 800 x 600 (loaded in backend)
so i think it is not (only ?) a problem of parameters limitation

In fact, you were right, I have several menu levels to access the gallery
the parameter "Maximum Size of all User's Images" was wrong in one of the sub-menu
sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for this component
