Weird problem after upgrade from 2.2 branch to latest 2.5.8

Post by 8055 »

Hello everyone,

I've just started using Phoca Gallery and think it's awesome so keep up the good work! A time ago I installed an old 2.2 version which worked fine. For obvious reasons though a few days ago i upgraded to the latest 2.5.8 version.

The upgrade process went smooth and no errors were encoutered. Everything is still working great except for one thing:

All categories and images still exists, except that when you click Multiple Add you get a ton of pictures there listed and at the bottom of the page the upload feature.

I've tried to add these to a temp category and afterwards delete them but every time they show up again after clicking multiple add. I think the database upgrade process did something wrong. But after checking the database tables everything looks good there. What could be the problem, does anyone has some pointers for me please?

Regards,

k some updates:

when you click on multiple add, it just shows a list of all the images and folders that are in the images/phocagallery directory.
Because everything wasn't sorted into folders it shows a huge list of +/- 500 images. I'm sorting them in folders now and editing the SQL directly to reflect the new path.

Another bug i found is that the database line is deleted when deleting an image but not the file itself on the file system. So everytime you click multiple add you also see the images that have been deleted from the database.

Hi, in multiple add you can see your filesystem structure. This is displayed like by other file system manager. It depends on user which filesystem structure (folder tree) will create. As you can upload images into phoca gallery folder many ways, the original files are not deleted as there can be files uploaded by not phoca gallery, there can be files they are used in other category, etc.

Phoca Gallery only checks file which it has created - thumbnails. Not files they were not created by Phoca Gallery.
