Ordering not working

I have tried all the forms and spent a lot of time but my gallery list ordering (in gallery view) doesn´t work. Is thete any trick to do it. For me is very important because a add a photo every month, and I wanted the years and the months in decending order.....January, February..etc. I even tried to move up and down the preference order in the Panel and works in back end but not in front...Thanks for your helping
