Java Error on Folder Navigation

Post by dlauchner »

When attempting to add a new image or images, when navigating into 3rd level folder I get an error and get returned to the top level PhocaGallery folder level. The error in the Java console is below. Please help, as I cannot add any new photos to my albums. Thank you.
Java Plug-in 1.6.0_16
Using JRE version 1.6.0_16-b01 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:\Documents and Settings\Dave
[removed - not more actual]

If no one can help, is there anyway to back out my 2.5.8 upgrade? This wasn't happening on 2.5.0. If there is a fix coming reasonably soon, please let me know & I will be patient. I can probably live a month or two without doing photo gallery uploads.

(Note: I had to remove some of the URL references due to a limitation in the forum. I replaced "http:// with "ex-http://"

Hi, try to see if there are no bad characters in path or files (some empty spaces, etc.)
for old versions, see:

These directories have always has files with spaces & special characters in them. They worked fine in 2.5.0. If the OS doesn't care, why should the gallery care?

Thanks for the reply

no the gallery but the server. In fact I don't know what is the reason for this issue, so I try to find where it can be some problem  :( As I didn't write the java code, it is very difficult to find where can be the problem :-(
