Everything is working now.
What did i do.

1) from the dir images i reset all the dir structure from phoca gallery to 755 recursive
2) reset the owner to the ftp user
3) activated ftp layer with the correct path
4) voila and now everything is working on http://www.brandweerhouten.nl/fotoboek.html

1) Oeps not working anymore. After installing the config.xml which i become after the donation thumbs are gone again.
Installed the config.xml from the package 2.5.7 the thumbs are gone???

2) The thumbs are back but in the configuration it's nog possible anymore to disable the logo / text link.
I think we have the problem it must be something in the config.xml.

I think we have the problem it must be something in the config.xml.

When i install the config which i become with the donation the thumbs are dissapear and not coming back when i choose the value yes for the thumbs. When i replace i with the config.xml from the package everything is working fine.

Maybe this is helpfull.

I also have this problem and have no idea how to solve it. The biggest problem is that i have promised to the customers that i will upload photos of goods till tomorrow morning
I hope someone will post the solution as soon as he manages to remove this problem.
P.S.: i have changed security settings of folder and subfolders to 777 but it didn't helped

Hi Tecumseh

The solution is in permission 755 and turn on the ftp functionality in joomla.
When you have a config.xml from a donation remove this thing and install the config.xml from the install package.

Then go to the global option and say yes to the random image and it's working.

Thanks for your response vipwebdesign, but i am quite an amateur. Can you please explain which config.xml should be romoved and which one is another config.xml that should be installed (i assume the second one is from com_phocagallery_v2.5.7.zip or am i wrong)?
Global option is probably in phoca gallery options or general joomla options? I think you will help to a lot of others (amateurs as i am)
