I Love Phoca..it is by far the best soltion for a clean modern easy to use gallery componant for Joomla
I have tried the others and this one is my choice..
I am now working on a socialnet project for one of my sites..and I need a comprehensive media gallery
similar to what Facebook provides.
I want to use Phoca, but have no clue as to what level of integration Phoca and CB have.
I have searched the forum but not really found any answers
I woulds really like for Phoca to be the default image gallery com on my social net
with users having their own cats/subcats, easy uploading, management and commenting available on their "tabs"
any suggestions?
Community builder integration?

Re: Community builder integration?
I would also like to add my request for integration with Community Builder. It would be so great to have a tab on the CB profile page that shows the user's Phoca Gallery categories and/or subcategories.
This is a plugin I would gladly pay for. If you find the time to create this, you could make the plugin part of a commercial package to include some of your other modules and plugins, while leaving the core component and module free. Many other developers (including Community Builder) have done it that way.
Anyway, the lack of a CB integration does not stop me from using Phoca Gallery. The best thing I have discovered about Phoca Gallery is that I was able to FTP all the folders of pictures from a Gallery2 installation on my old site, and they just showed up as categories and subcategories in my new Phoca Gallery installation. All it had to do was create the thumbnails, which it did with no trouble. This saved me literally hours of work, as I had over 1gb of photos. All I had to do was to go in and change the permissions for each category and subcategory so that they pointed to the correct user on my new site.
Thank you for all your hard work on this great component!
