SEO friendly/404 error

Hi everyone,

I see that there are a lot of threads that talk about the 404 problems in Phoca gallery when using search and search engine friendly links. There appears to be a plugin/hack that fixes this issue, but looking through the threads I can't find it. I'm using Phoca 2.5.4 so unless this issue is fixed in the new 2.5.7 is there any way to link that hack in another post and then sticky the thread? It seems like a lot of people are looking to fix this issue.

There is problem with Itemid in Joomla! which is related only for menu links not for plugins and modules, so some plugins try to find itemid of an component. (Such behaviour is implemented in all Phoca plugins and modules) But then it depends on the site, if it has created some menu link and can give Itemid to modules and plugins, to get more information see:
