Urgently need help! Thumbnail creation error!

All of a sudden I get an error message when I try to make Thumbnails, I get an blank white page with no progressbar only the red text: Stop thumbnail creation
What is wrong??
I have set all the permissions to 777 in ftp.
I already have several images in there and thay are showing just fine.
I saw on another post that I could change php memory limit and php maximum execution time, would that make a differense? And how do I do that??

I work in Joomla 1.5.10 and PhocaGallery 2.5.6 beta...

Hi, see your error log (on your server) to get information about the error message which is not displayed because of error reporting set to no.
