Can't hide Category

hello,
I just started using Phoca Gallery and I am really enjoying it, great component!

I am trying to configure a Category only to be seen for a group of people, but I can't configure it properly..

- it is a Sub-Category, main category has access level to public
- Access Level is Special
- Acess Right is set for a couple of users (this might be the problem since whenever I return to Category config this list is blank )
- Upload, Add, Delete and Publish User Rights is set to Nobody

I have a menu option for a Category View, for the main Category, and the problem is that I still can see this Category on the list, although when I select it I get thrown to the homepage..

Can you give me a help with this configuration?

hello,

I noticed on my localhost this works, showing an icon of a folder with a keylock
on the other end, on the live website, this icon is not showing, giving the impression something is missing..

the img src="/templates/mytemplate/images/" on the live website, while on localhost it is img src="/online/components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/icon-folder-medium-key.gif"

the .gif file exists on the live website, on the specified folder..

hope this helps to trace the problem..

Hi, try to check all the parameters (in parameters component to menu link) e.g. displaying hidden categories, etc., see:

thanks for you reply
regarding permissions: folder and files are 755 (changing to 777 has no effect)
regarding menu option: if I set Access Level to "Public", a picture for this -special folder/gallery- is shown, and access is ok, but the moment I set it to "Special", instead of a folder+keylock picture, I just get a blank square (with the gallery title..)

hello there,

When I added another sub-category, the problem was gone: the privileged sub-category shows no more, and the new one shows ok
Seems this problem only happens when there is a single, restricted access, (sub-)category
