Private Photo Review and exchange between admin and users

Hello,
First of all, you have very cool products on you site!

I tried to find some answers in the documentation... but i am not sure if phoca gallery serves my needs. I am more a designer than a developer, so i have to guess in some areas

I am looking for a solution, which let users upload their own files/photos in the frontend and an admin can access, view and download it. Now, the admin can edit the picture and upload the edited version again. The user reviews and compare it or can download the final image.

The whole process is private between the admins and each user/customer.

Is this possible at all?
I read some other posts about the original file handling and memory issues...
Can phoca gallery or at least any PHP environment with GD or Imagemagic handle large files? I guess the files will be very large, cause they are in print-quality!

I think Phoca Gallery cannot serve such function you need. But can be good as basic for your function. So maybe some customization on your needs can be done by some developer.

can you explain what phoca does not do in my scenario? I was reading about the frontend upload... do you mean i can´t get the private upload categories for each user?

(I am not a developer, so it is hard to transfer my ideas to technicla features or even judge an extension by its documentation and feature set)

Maybe i should clearify the term "review"...
On your demo site, i can see the comments AND an image description in a tooltip.
Thats all i need... an area where a comment or info can be written. Either a description by the uploader who edited the image OR a comment field, which could serve as a little chat about the pros and cons of the image.
