Thumbnails not creating with exif info

Hi,

I thought I'd try and get the exif info displaying on my photos (first time I've tried). Can't seem to get it to work. I use Photoshop CS2 - save as a jpg and have checked that the exif info is in the jpg. Upload the jpg to the gallery, create the thumbnail, have got the gallery to show the exif icon underneath the small thumbnail but when it's clicked on only the filename shows in the exif dialog box. Saving the large thumbnail and viewing it back in photoshop and the exif info is missing.

The site is running PHP v5.2.2, EXIF Support enabled EXIF Version 1.4 $Id: exif.c, v 1.173.2.5.2.19 2007/02/27 03:04:40 iliaa Exp $ Supported EXIF Version 0220 Supported filetypes JPEG, TIFF.

Joomla is currently v1.5.14
Phocogallery component v2.5.4 and it has a green tick for both columns for Function exif_read_data.

I'm bound to be doing something wrong (as it seems to be working for other people), but can't work out what. Any help appreciated.

Hi, exif information is taken from the original image not from thumbnails. If you have enabled EXIF on your server, try to upload there some image from camera as cameras creates EXIF data. You can check the parameters too. You can see on which exif data is the image checked. Maybe such data are not created by graphic program
