Error when uploading images

I created two categories for my pictures: a and b
Then I uploaded via the gallery uploading-tool images into two new folders (created via gallery-tool). Lets name them a001,a002, a003, b001, b002, b003.
Then I add the pictures a... to the categorie a -> ok
After I add the pictures b... to the categorie b -> ERROR:

When I add a picture a... to cat b it works, when I add picture b... to cat a the same error occures.
After the error I can not log in the picture-section of phoca gallery, the error is show each time and I have to install it again.

I have now idea whats going wrong.

The Problem is found: the image was to big.
When I tried with other (smaller? pictures it worked every time. Then I tried to resize my new pictures by 70% and upluaded them again. The adding to a categorie was now no problem.

Perhaps you can add this clue to your website with the other clues.
