How to add images and sub-categories in existing categories?

In my computer I made a folder named 'TRC Photo Gallery' inside which I made five folders 'College Week', 'Sports', 'NCC', 'NSS'; inside these five folders I made another sub-folders like '2006', '2007', '2008', where there are several pictures. Using ftp I uploaded the folder 'TRC Photo Gallery' and all its contents to ...images/phocagallery and multiple add them by selecting the 'TRC Photo Gallery' as the category. Everything is fine but now I want to add another sub-folder '2009' inside which there will be pictures.

I read the forum but unable to find solution to this seemingly simple task.
What is the best way to add sub-categories and pictures to an existing photo gallery from the backend?

Hi, just copy new folder into your structure and

a) select this folder and Phoca Gallery will do new category and new thumbnails (if there will be not set parent category, just set it in detail of category)

b) select the whole tree (if category names are still the same, then Phoca Gallery only update the tree - one new category + new images)
