I am running:
Ubuntu 9.04 Firefox 3.5 Joomla 1.5.11 and Phoca Gallery 2.2.4
I have been setting up category albums and uploading images successfully through the back-end for a while. Either via File zilla or via the Phoca component. I have decided to set up the user upload and I've run into a problem.
when I upload at the back-end I get a normal selection box as one of the options yet at the user level there is only a java box and this sends the screen grey and kills the whole browser. I have tried dis-enabling the java up-loader to see if I would be given a normal selection box but the Java window was still the only choice - crashing the explorer again.
I would really like to give my users the chance to add their own images so I would be grateful for advice.
Thanks,
Susan

Re: User upload failure
Hi, java can be disabled only on frontpage. does your OS support Java? which browser you are using?
