Some problems...

I'm trying Phoca but I have several concerns layout for what I want.

First, I can not put it in french, I have two ini files in the folder language Phoca component in the administration. Like this:

administrator/components/com_phocagallery/language/fr-FR

Nothing changes.

Then for the presentation of the gallery, with a screenshot, it will be more clear:



Text in red : Do not show

When I click Cover-Art Phoca, that should I see all the categories that are 3. But here I get nothing! The type of link is "Phoca Gallery Categories"

This should m'affiche:

- Covers _ _ Format Standard, Slim or package>> contains 2 subcategories (movies & series)
Other - for special occasions>> contains 3 subcategories
- BluRay>> contains 2 subcategories (movies & series)

Hi,

to display the language you need to upload the .ini files to:
language/fr-FR
administrator/language/fr-FR

About the displaying of the categories. I don't understand what you want. Do you want to display the categories as category list, or as medium thumbs?

Thanks caro84g for the language.

For categories, I want to display only a list of categories with thumbnails and remove the display medium that is located below.

Then I'd like displayed in each category thumbnails and not the medium thumbs.

By the way, the websites you provided all display their subcategories as thumbnail.

Yes, I tried but I choose to be a bad combination, or something not working properly ...

I do not want to display images in medium-sized sub categories but the thumbnails.

I have another problem, can not display the description and other information.

Here is the presentation of the covers of each category.



And when you click on a cover miniature want displayed on a page with the average cover with information. Name, Creator, Virtuemart ID, description, etc ...

I managed to match the display as desired sub-categories and pages of thumbnails. But impossible to remove the display of the subcategories below sub-categories displayed by the option Display Categories in Category View in parameters.



I noted two logical inconsistency:

1 - If I put the code to display the page in default.php "components/com_phocagallery/views /category/tmpl" corresponding to the part that I do not show, I have no display of thumbnails in my categories and sub-categories.

2 - Why when you are in a category or subcategory, or view our images, the code by default the middle and not small ?

I want so many changes ? Because in the future, we want to VirtueMart and many option Phoca are interesting. In addition, I will certainly have a second website on a fanzine therefore gallery and shop.

So there will be possible in future versions of these options or make changes?

To provide display sub-categories, I can create a hack to the code. To make the availability of the community.

Hi, both views are independent to each other, it means you can:

- display categories and back link in "category view" and "categories view in category view"
- display categories and back link in "category view" but not in "categories view in category view"
- display categories and back link in "categories view in category view" but not in "category view"

So you can disable the displaying of category and back link for "category view" in Parameters:


Category View Setttings (Thumbnails):
Display Categories in Category View - NO
Display Subcategories On Each Page - nowhere
Display Back Button - no
Display Categories View Back Button - no

Category View Settings (Categories):
Display Categories in Category View - YES
Display Subcategories On Each Page - all pages (first page)
Display Back Button - yes
Display Categories View Back Button - yes
