Manage photos function: can not choose category

Hi
Thanks for a very good photo program.
I am about to implement it on www.itfixing.com but have some problems with the
"manage photos"
If i logon as a user who has access to upload photos, he get presented with a screen where the category is already prefixed and it says "edit"
He can also go to "upload" and upload pictures, but i can not see a way to decide what category I want to upload the photos to.
Have i set it up incorrect, or is there a way to get the drop down menu so you can add a new category or upload to any old ones.
I have uploaded a photo to ilustrade where i have the problem

I'm having the same problem. I was able to create a category and upload a number of photos from the front-end (same screen morten44 had), and like him, I can't find a way to create more categories. I'm on joomla 1.5.9. The site is www.dmcpower.net/manage-categories. The site is nder development and is password protected by the customers request. From the frontend you can only create one category. If you use the upload function in the same screen then the uploaded pictures are added to your own category.

I put my votes in on this and i see that it is planned. Can you give us an idea of when this feature will be available? I've got a current project implementation that requires the front-end user to be able to add photos and descriptions to multiple categories.

By the way, via the user control panel in a category multiple users can add pictures to that gallery.
