How can I show the description below each picture?

I am trying to show the description below each thumbnail inside of the Categories?

Is there a way to do this?

As of this point, the only way to see the description is to float your mouse over the thumbnail, and hope that you can read it before the image shows up.

In fact, I would rather have the description of the thumbnail instead of the name of the image. Now that would really make my day!
