Memory exhaust at Thumbnail creation

Hallo Jan,

seit knapp 2 Jahren setze ich mit größter Zufriedenheit die Phoca Gallery ein und habe in der Vergangenheit bereits sehr guten Support erfahren. Darauf hoffe ich auch dieses Mal.

Ich setze ein:
J1.5.10 und PG 2.2.3
Nach dem ftp Upload von Bildern habe ich diese einer angelegten Kategorie zuweisen wollen.
Insgesamt wurden Bilder für 4 neue Kategorien hochgeladen.
Die Thumbnailcreation der beiden ersten Kategorien verlief wie immer.
Danach erhielt ich folgende Fehlermeldung:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 68157440 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20248 bytes) in /www/htdocs/w009b626/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagallery.php on line 894

Die Kategorien 15 Jahre und Kickboxen sind ok.
Bei den Kategorien Kindertraining und Projekttage gab es das Problem.
Auch kann ich im Backend den Reiter "Bilder" nicht mehr aufrufen.
Das Löschen der betroffenen Kategorien um sie neu anzulegen funktioniert nicht, da ich die Bilder bereits der Kategorie zugeordnet habe und der Fehler bei der Thumbnailcreation auftrat.

Was kann ich tun?

I can read enough of this to know it is happening to me as well.

I have seen Jan post something about bad image files. However if that is the case then it would be nice to have an error stating such. As it stands I have no idea what to do.

Hi, mostly this is problem of one image, you need to disable automaticaly creating of thumbnails. Afte disabling it, you are able to work with Phoca Gallery, so try to delete the image (on the server, thumbnails too) and try to delete it in Phoca Gallery (database entry). Then enable the thumbnails creating in parameters. Phoca Gallery will try to create thumbnails again.

Hi Jan,

you were absolutely right. The problem was caused by one picture in one category which contained a + in its name.
Having deleted this from the server and the database, all other thumbs were correctly processed and PG runs smoothly.
