EXIF information missing after update to PG 6.1.3

Hallo,

after Update to Phoca Gallery 6.1.3 the exif information are not transferred to the image in the webspace using "Multiple Add". There has been also an update to Joomla 6.1.3. In the combination (both) Joomla + PG 6.1.2 everything was fine.

In den Optionen überprüfen - Information-Einstellungen:
'Kamera-Info'-Icon anzeigen (Ausblenden | Anzeigen) Anzeigen/Ausblenden des 'Kamera Info' Icons (EXIF Information sind im Bild gespeichert)
Exif-Info Exif-Informationen, die angezeigt werden sollen. Bitte mit einem Komma (,) trennen.

Hallo Christine,

vermutet hatte ich, dass wir uns aus dem Joomla Forum kennen. Jetzt weiß ich es.

Diesmal ist es ein anderes Thema, deswegen dieses Forum.

Vor dem Update wurden die Exif Informationen sauber mit der Bilddatei hochgeladen. Nach dem Update nicht mehr. Per Download betreffender Beispiele überprüft. Wenn ich die Bilder per FTP in den betreffenden Medienordner hochlade, sind die Exifs vorhanden und werden ausgelesen. Während des Zeitraums, in dem ich keine Bilder hochgeladen hatte ist auch Joomla auf die aktuelle Version gehoben worden. Aber ich halte die neue Version von PG dafür verantwortlich. Bilder gehen mit Exif in den Uploadbereich bei Multiple Add und kommen ohne Exif im Webspace an.

Die Frage die mich hier umtreibt ist: war es ein Versehen oder Absicht. und wenn Absicht, warum

Hi, thanks for the info, there is a stricter check that removes EXIF.

I will set up a new parameter there that will completely turn off the check, or (and this will only be possible for jpg, png, maybe webp) remove EXIF ​​before checking and put it back after checking.

It will be in version 6.1.4, I hope soon.

Hello Jan,

thank you for your reply. It's good to hear. My Pictures normally will be jpg and should not be contaminated by malware if this is the reaseon for the check. Only my pictures I show, photographed and processed by me.

The exif should not be lost when using default value for the parameter: Re-encode Uploaded Images (Security) and you can completely disable this check too.
