Hello..
Joomla version 5.4.2
php verson: 8.2.30
Phoca version : 6.0.0
Please i need some help with the file path showing complete. When i hover to the download button, the url is shown in the browswer below which shows the full path and i dont wnat that...
I want the file path to not show component/phocadownload/category/.....
it should be something like mysite.org/filename/ or item id or something.
If i can hide the entire path, that will be the best for me. This problem is when i Hover to the download button that i added using the Phocadownload Placeholder.
I am unable to add image here..
I try to look for where to OFF the setting in the Joomla backend but could not achieve this.
Thank you in advance

Hi,
example.org/downloads/1-category-1
example.org/downloads/2-category-3
(Apache and Litespeed: Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess) beforehand. Then:
System > In Global configuration > SEO Settings:
Search Engine Friendly URLs: Yes
Use URL Rewriting: Yes
Kind regards
Christine

Thank you for your response.
The setting you suggested is already implemented in the Joomla backend and other extensions respects the settings.
Not really sure why the components/phocadownload/ ... showing when hovered to the download button..

Hi, this mostly occurs when the SEF is enabled but there is no menu link to Phoca Download
BTW component/phocadownload/category/ is not the path to Phoca Download
the path to Phoca Download is components/com_phocadownload/views/category ....
the same with path to files to download, the path is completely different.
