Phoca Gallery and Thumnails

Hi,

I use Joomla! 6 and Phoca Gallery 5.1.13.
I want to display on a page thumbnails that point to images in size 400 x 540 px.
I created my categories and subcategories with Phoca Gallery.

My catégory and sus-categories are :
Plats d'Etains
-- > Plats Antiquité
-- > Plats : Rois
--> Plats : Comedia del Arte ...

When I get from the display of the site I see the icons of the sub-folders.


I would like to:
1- Do not display the icons of the subfolders (Plats d'Etain: Antiquitéy – Rois, etc...)
2- That the thumbnails corresponding to the images display the reduced image and not a piece of the image
3- I can’t configure Phoca Gallery to get what I want.

1.) Go to and set: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Thumbnails --> Thumbnail Generation Settings -->
Pagination Thumbnail Generation=Yes
Enable Thumbnails Generation=Yes
Crop Thumbnails=None
Save & Close

Do you mean the detail view images or the category view images?

2.) This is the way for both:

Detail view:
set the large thumbnails to 400x540px
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Thumbnails --> Images And Detail Window Size Settings --> Large Image Width=400
Large Image Height=540
Save & Close
Go to backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Images
and recreate your thumbnails so that the changed size of the large thumbnails is applied.

Category view:
set the medium thumbnails to 400x540px
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Thumbnails --> Images And Detail Window Size Settings --> Medium Image Width=400
Medium Image Height=540
Save & Close
Go to backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Images
and recreate your thumbnails so that the changed size of the medium thumbnails is applied.

When I get from the display of the site I see the icons of the sub-folders.

3.) Go to and set: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Categories View --> Categories View Settings -->
Image Size=Medium
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Category View --> Category View Settings -->
Category View Settings=Yes
Display Image Instead Of Folder Icon=Yes
Save & Close

Hi,

Thank you for your indications, but I did not get the right results despite the changes I made in Phoca Options pages.

I am very annoyed because I would have liked to use Phoca Gallery for my site.

Would there be other settings to do that I wouldn’t know about?

Hi,
Since I don't know what isn't working for you with the changes I suggested, it would be best if you could post screenshots of the front end and describe what should to be changed there.
