Instalation themes - Error message

Post by Viggo »

Hello,

With the Joomla Installer I wanted to install another theme.

I am getting:
* Copy failed
* Failed to copy file: /home/barfcomh/public_html/tmp/install_49c1f1afb39d4/icon-b.png to /home/barfcomh/public_html/components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/icon-b.png
* Unable to find required information in install package
What did I wrong ?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards

I tried to install theme_black.

Which folder should be concerned ?

Dod you have enabled ftp layer and did you have enabled it while installing Phoca Gallery so the ownership of files and folders is still the same ?

In order having better performances I just finished the transfer og the domaine to a VPS hosting :D The installation og Phoca Gallery was of course made before.

Concerning ftp access: I have no problem accessing with File Zilla the server. Also for Joomla the ftp access works.

I made a new attemps trying to install the theme.

and still get:

I changed some permissions to 777 (not easy to find out WHICH files/folders need 777)

and now I am getting:

* JFolder::create: Ne peut pas créer le dossier
* Attention ! - Le fichier n'a pas pu être déplacé

It seems, that I have have to modify the persmissions on some other files/directories...

Can you let me know, those needing 777 ?

Many thanks four your help

The ftp layer in Joomla! should be enabled, it is not ftp you are using while using your ftp client,

this ftp layer (joomla! ftp layer) enables the possibility to work with files and folders like as you are using your ftp client. So if you have no problems with ftp client (filezilla) and you will enable the ftp layer in Joomla! settings, then you should not have any problems, because Joomla! should work as your ftp client
