Re: Front-end uploading isn't working

Post by bazminator »

Hello,
I must thank you for making such a good peace of aplication!
But I'm having a problem. Front-end uploading doesn't work perfectly. I have enabled user control panel in settings. From the front-end I can see uploading tab. When I try to upload via front-end some pictures to the user category (in the tab about category I can make/rename user category) it works. But if there is another category with right to upload by user it does not work. Uploading tab appears corectly. When i try to upload something I ve'got error message something like "User folder has not been defined" (originaly in czech: "Uživatelská složka nebyla definována" ). I'm not sure what is wrong.

Example:
user: lumik
users category "lumiks gallery" - upload from front-end works perfectly
from the back-end settings for category "group A"
Access Rights: lumik
User rights to upload: lumik
user right to delete unpublised: lumik
upload photos to gategory "group A" by lumik: does not work

configuration:
PHP Version 5.2.8-pl2-gentoo
Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable
Phoca gallery 2.2.3

Hi,

in the backend go to categories, edit your category and specify a 'user folder'
See: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ser-upload

Regards, Carolien
Please ask your support questions in the forums and not via PM - I delete those PM's
Backup before you do any major change to your website (and test first)

Oh I see. I have to create proper folder manually and same name write into the settings of category.
It works! Thank you very much.

Keep up good work

Milan
