Hi,
I just installed the Phoca Gallery. I am an absolute newbee, so please forgive me if I ask something that might be stupid or very simple to you.
The installation went very smooth. However, I can't see the icons in the Phoca Gallery. For example, the Phoca Gallery control panel is just showing boxes with a red 'x' in it instead of the icons for 'images' 'categories' 'themes' etc. Because the 'alt' text is there, I was able to upload and add pictures. Following the instructions I was able to make a gallery on my site, but again....just a boxes with a red 'x'. I checked through the ftp server if the pictures were really uploaded and if the buttons/icons were in the correct folder. It's all there...... so please help me, what am I doing wrong?

Hi, if the images are there then you should check the image paths in Joomla!

Re: no icons after installation
Hi Jan,
Thanks for your quick reply. However...could you please be a bit more specific? I have no clue were I can find image paths in Joomla. I have never worked with Joomla! before, I have only made "normal" websites in Dreamweaver with some php (but not a lot).
Thanks again!!
Edit: In the folder Joomla - Images there is a new folder phocagallery with a subfolder thumbs. All the pics are in the phocagallery folder and the thumbs are in the right 'thumb' folder. So that should be ok. If I go to mediamanager - phocagallery at the admin page, I can see the pictures but the thumbs are just a box with a red x.
Also, in the folder 'components'- a subfolder com_phocagallery has been created. In the subfolder 'assets' - 'images' I see all the icons, but not on the administration page of the phocagallery (just a box with a 'x').

Re: no icons after installation
Hi,
I have discovered what the problem was. I changed the permissions for all the icons (both in the components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/ and in /images/phocagallery/ and in administrator/components/com_phocagallery/assets/images/) into r-w-e. At least now I can see the icons and the thumbnails that I had already created. However, thumbs from the new pictures that I upload still don't have the correct permissions and I can't see them in the gallery (a box with a red x). Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks!!
