No Categories Show Up on Front End

Hello, I have set up Phoca Gallery successfully on my site and have uploaded a number of images through the backend without problem.

However, I have set up a menu item for "user control panel" on the front end but cannot upload because none of the categories I have created will show up. I just get this message:

There is no category where to upload images. First create a category please (If your category is created and you cannot upload images then ask administrator if you have permission to upload images).

I have set all category permissions to "all registered users" for everything, yet when I log in and try to upload an image on the front end I cannot as there are no categories. Can someone help please?

hi,
to upload pictures to an existing category (front-end), navigate to the category and (if the user has the rights to upload to thsi category) the upload-panel will be displayed underneath the thumbnails.

the menu-item-link you're describing is only used, when creating new categories in front-end.
