Post by itsog »

hello, the process for multiple pictures works fine, but the thumbnails are not created, also the not displayed in the gallery.

What might be the issue ?

I have exactly the same problem - when uploading, files are going to right folder on server, but without thumbnails. Just after installing phoca I created one gallery and it was ok (thumbnails were created), but now it is copying only photos to server. In gallery I see empty folder (with number of photos which should be displayed, but thumbnails are blank). I didn't touch any other options, so I don't know what is wrong.

exactly the same issue ikov. With me I had a problem with one picture, I tried upload 15 MB picture and it got me an error, after this the only button on the page was: stop something with the thumbnails......... and it returned me to the main page of the gallery.

After this issue with one picture..... the thumbnails do not appear.

I am thinking of deleting the gallery and installing it again as no one here is providing any solution.

Later, if I won't get any solution, I will try with new instalation; hope this will work, because I like the way of displaying photos and options like geotagging and PicLens.

Hi. I have had the same issue and found a work around:

Go to back your category list and click on the category you uploaded to. It will then start to creat thumbs. I hope that works for you.

Hi,

go to your phoca gallery parameters (components > phoca gallery > control panel > [parameters] button) and check if enable thumbnails creation is still set to yes.

Regards, Carolien

Thanks caro84g - solved! Is creating thumbnails and everything works!

However here is still one question - why this option turn to "no", because 'm pretty sure I didn't change anything.

Hi, the option can be disabled only bu user :-( ... e.g. if you click on Stop thumbnail creation then it will be disabled and you get the information message about it.
