Hello
I am using phocagallery in joomla 4 with the joomla standard multilanguage tool.
If I create an item menu for all the languages all is ok.
But if i create an item menu for each language (in this case an item menu in the english menu and other item menu in the other language) when i click in a category in front page the url goes to a 404 page. Which is the solution?
I have created a category for each language and the images are in the categories for each language
Thanks in advance

Hi, when you disable SEF, do you get the same problems?
What exactly do you mean with "item menu for each language"? In Phoca Gallery, there is no language parameter in item menu

When I disable SEF it runs OK. How can i solve it? I would like to use SEF
In my menu items I have seleceted the language as othter item menu. In joomla items from menues i can select "all" languages or a unique language in "Details".
Thanks.

Hello
I can create an item menu for each category and i can use SEF but it is a bad solution because if i have a lot of categories i need one item menu for each category.
Have this problem other solution?

Re: Error in multilanguage
So maybe, you can create each category for each language and just create menu link without specifiyng the language
Generally, because of unique links and SEF it is recommended to use only one menu link - menu link to categories which then holds the SEF form and when you want to add a link to some category, you will copy the link directly from page (link created by categories view menu link) and you will paste the static link as menu link. Then no different SEF formats will be created.
When you have a lot of categories and you want to build menu link for each category, maybe this is not good way how to solve it

Re: Error in multilanguage
Of course, a lot of menu items is no good
But if I have only one menu item for two languages, for example "Gallery" if i select "Gallery" in english the web will go to "Gallery" but if I am seeing the gallery in english and i change the language, for example to "spanish" the item menu will be "Gallery" (not "Galeria") because it doesnt translate the name of the menu.
The gallery is correct but not the name of the menu i can see in front page (not change from gallery to galería)
Thanks

Re: Error in multilanguage
Hi, yes, this is the problem. I don't know if there are active plugins for Falang and Phoca Gallery, but in some cases, Falang can better suit the need for multilanguage as standard Joomla core feature (core feature is based on items which have different ID for each translated variation)
So, unfortunately for now, no clue advice (try to test multilanguage alternatives like Falang or Multilangue CK) but hard to say if this can be solved by core

Re: Error in multilanguage
I like Phoca gallery because we can have several images in a folder with two different categories (for different languages). In othter components we have to duplicate the images but on other hand we have the problem of the menus.
Thanks for all

Re: Error in multilanguage
Thanks.
I am thinking that i will create a menu (not published) with the links to all the galleries. I think this is better solution than others.
With other galleries components it is necessary to duplicate the images and it isnt a good solution, specially if you have a lot of images.
