Function "NewCategory" not possible

Hi,
I like to use Phoca Gallery 3.2.8 under Joomla 2.5. I have installed the plugin and the next step is "creating categories:
I filled in all necessary data, but I received the failure" Image name is necessary". But on the category mask is no entry regarding image name. What's happend ??

I use the same gallery with a higher version on Joomla 3.9 and I have no problems. I checked the category templates on both versions regarding deviations and found nothing.

Because of security reasons you shouldn't start a new project with completely outdated Joomla! and Phoca Gallery versions. As you wrote yourself the problem doesn't exist with current Joomla! and Phoca Gallery. Therefore it is strongly recommended to use these versions.

for understanding: I have two different home pages with different Joomla versions.

My home page running under Joomla 2.5 has galleries with Adobe Flash behind. So, before a change the whole website, I will change the gallery plugin to Phoca. So I looked at your website and used the version for Joomla 2.5.

Is it possible to use the newest Phoca version for 2.5 too ???

I thought the error described below is more a missing entry problem ???
