Post by kshipra »

I installed phoca and was able to upload images successfully and found it very easy. But I have one problem, I dont want to display images in a category. I simply want to display thumbnails on my frontpage without any category or subcategory. I am not able to do this . Can anyone help me out in this

Hi,

add images to an article with the Phoca Gallery plugin and display this article on the frontpage.

hi,
try this: create a menu-item to the gallery (it doesn't matter which menu), then set this menu-item as default (in the menu-manager).
i think this even works when this menu or menu-item is hidden (unpublished)

Hey thanx for that suggestion Carolien... Finally I am able to understand the thing that u told me. I installed the phoca gallery plugin and enabled it. I have also created an article and wrote the following code in my artucle

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|
imageid=0|limitstart=0|limitcount=7|
fontcolor=#B88A00|bgcolor=#FFBF00|bgcolorhover=#BFFF00|imagebgcolor=#FFD24D|
bordercolor=#B88A00|bordercolorhover=#86B300|
detail=1|displayname=1|displaydetail=1|displaydownload=1|float=right}

I hope this is the corect method...But still I am unable to get the images on frontpage without any categories :(

please please help me out...

Hi,

in Phoca all added images need to be added to a Category (like contacts in Joomla! need a category too).

If you display the code, then you only see the images.

What's the problem with the categories?
