Now i created a folder and give the rights to administrator to upload photo and also enabled the user control panel. but when administrator upload any image through that input form....i am unable to see that image on the front end .

Hi,
first of all, not everyone is checking the forums each hour, so only bump your topic when it isn't answered for a couple of days.
Second: did you read the documentation? I invested quite some time to write an article about the user upload, so please take your time to read it, before you ask questions: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ser-upload
If you still have problems, please mention the steps you took
Regards, Carolien

Hi,
quote from user upload manual:
quote from user upload manual:
Regards, CarolienTo show the uploaded images and newly created categories you need to create a second menu-item with the type 'Phoca Gallery Category List Layout'. Here you can turn off 'enable user control panel' in the component-parameters. The upload goes through the other menu item.

Re: image upload problem
Thanx...I read these earlier also..but it was not the thing that i want to do. Now i got it right by reading these lines, earlier I did'nt read these lines...
Advanced: The category which is created is a top level category. To make it a subcategory you need to edit the created category in the backend (under Components »Phoca Gallery » Categories). Then you can set a parent category. If you want to have full control and so to set in advance which user can upload to which category you need to do the following: Go to Components » Phoca Gallery » Categories » [new]. Type a category name (this can be edited by the user later). Select a user folder. This is the folder where the uploaded images will be stored. Next select the author of the category. The author is the one who can upload images to the category through the menu-item 'Phoca Gallery User Control Panel Layout'. It isn't possible to have the same author for more categories. Only the last one will be remembered. "
But still I have some doubts.. This will help user to upload images in a particular category but if i want to give rights to delete an image in aparticular category. As here user is an administrator.. So what I need to do for that..
Thanx a lot in advance for your help

Re: image upload problem
Hi,
please read the mentioned document from beginning to end. Get a test server and try to create a setup like you want it. Play with all settings.
I'm not going to underline the text you need to do from the user manual each time.
other idea: your administrator can manage the gallery from the backend too
Regards, Carolien

Re: image upload problem
Yeah I know. I read that whole document..And even enabled those settings tht give the rights to delete the image i.e. "Delete and Publish User Rights" I have given this right to my user ..but When user logs in, it only provides the upload form ,no delete option is thr in the front end... Thts why i asked this question its not that I have not read that complete docs.
Yeah , Administrator can delete it from the backend also.. I knw this...but administrator dont want to go to back end and then upload or delte an image. He wants to once login frm the front end and delte and upload the image..
Its just that I want the delete option with the upload form in the front end....

Re: image upload problem
There is no delete and publish function in the upload (and edit category) form. This is only visible in the category view.
