Hi there - A new user would appreciate a pointer in the right direction please?
My OBJECTIVE - to set up a large family album for my grandkids - Each Photo album is a new Category within a large number of 'YEAR' categories. ENTIRE ALBUM/Nineties/1991/1991_A etc etc
Q: Is it possible for users to add comments against any picture in the Gallery, and then to be able to see comments in the Detail View?
I've managed the first part - adding comments, but the only way I've found of displaying them has downsides is described below:-
1) In Phoca Gallery Options/Detail View - there are several options to assign to 'Detail Window'. The only one that seems to actually display any comments in the Detail View is 'Magnific'. However the downside of using this option is that there is no window exit mechanism available. The user can navigate left or right through the Detail Views in that Category but is unable to back out of that Category. Going back using browser controls drops the user out of the site.
2) The 'Magnific' option appears not to be a responsive template for use on a mobile phone - it is unusable with my settings. However the 'Magnific (Image Only)' works fine when browsing on a phone, but does not display the Comments.
The METHOD I used
A) In Phoca Gallery Options/Detail View, set 'Detail Window' to 'Magnific'
B) In Phoca Gallery Options/Detail View, set 'Enable Multibox' to 'YES'
C) Select 'Comments' in 'Multibox (Displayed Items)'
My SETUP is as below:
Joomla: v3.9.22
PHP: v7.3.19
Phoca Gallery: v4.3.18
Thank you for any insights....
Bob

Re: Failure to get Comments to display in Detail View
Hi, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca ... al-advices
Displaying some Html content like comments depends on used popup methods. Some methods are iframe and allow displaying html, some are only image and there is just no feature to display Html (icluding comments feature)
The best method for this is maybe "no popup" where the detail image will be displayed on its own page - so it can include comments, etc.
