Phoca Gallery 2.2.0Beta

Post by stuff4me »

First of all, awesome work on the 2.2.0Beta release. I have found a few problems, atleast that I have found (might be my setup).

1.) The EXIF data is not being pulled (to get this, do I need to re-upload/setup my gallery?) If the EXIF data is being pulled right from the original picture, I will have to adjust the rights to it can be read, currently I have all my original pictures and not access what so ever.

2.) The "Camera Information" Icon does not show unless you have atleast on other icon set to show for the pictures. Currently I have "Image Download" shown and it is showing the "Camera Information" icon. When I removed the image download to be hidden, the Camera Information also goes away.

Once again, awesome work.

I think I have found the problem. I am looking in the Phoca Gallery Information portion of Phoca Gallery, and I have a red x on the exif_read_data. With looking through the releases of php, it appears that this was released in 4.2 and higher version of php.

I have emailed my web provider to see what version of php is hosted and if it can be enabled. Hope this fixes the problem with the exif data.

This has been solved!

I upgraded my version of php from 4.x to 5.x and it is now working.
