2.2.0. - Error while Creating Thumbnails (Error1)

Hello,

at the thumbnail creation i get this error message: Error while Creating Thumbnails (Error1)
The images are .jpg files and some thumbnails will be created, but at some files there's a error message.
All files are o.k. there isn't any error in the .jpg source images.
What could be the problem?
Before i upgraded to 2.2.0. there wasn't any problem with the thumbnail creation. Should i downgrade?
