Errors on 2.5.28

Hi!

We are in the process of upgrade joomla. Currently the site is on 2.5.17 and phocagallery is 3.2.8.

in our development environment we get errors like:
Strict Standards: Declaration of PhocaGalleryCpController::display() should be compatible with JController::display($cachable = false, $urlparams = false) in ...
Deprecated: Non-static method PhocaGalleryRenderInfo::getPhocaVersion() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in ...

What is the prefered way to update to joomla 3.7

oh, ok. I didn't know phocagallery is rocket science. So many steps so many things can go wrong.

Is there a better way to starting to use a more recent Joomla! version from a existing website?

Hi, Joomla! 2.x and Joomla! 3.x are in fact different systems and the migrate instead of update must be done between such versions. So unfortunatley, you need to do export files/data and import files/date, there is no other way except installing the component newly and add the images from scratch. Or of course you can hire some export to export/import (from my experiences, users who know the migration procedure well can migrate Phoca Gallery in minutes).
