Hi, what you exactly mean with "not able to display the actual version"? Where? Can you paste a screenshot of what you exactly mean?
Thank you, Jan

I have the Same Issue (and others): See attached. Phoca Gallery: not detect version witrh PHP v7.1
PHP7.1.3, Joomla 3.6, Phoca Gallery 4.3.4.
From Gallery Control Panel, Choose "Check for Update". Results in "No extension Found".
See Attached.
(Why am I unable to attach a file???).

You should get this site:
https://www.phoca.cz/version/index.php?p ... lery=4.3.4
which url you get when you click on the link in your administration?

Apparently it drops part of the URL. Perhaps PHP7.1.3?

Hmmm, I am testing it with 7.0.8, I think, there should not be any such large change in 7.1 to strip URL parts
I really don't know any feature (including security feature) which will strip some url parameter

Re: Phoca Gallery: not detect version witrh PHP v7.1
This is not the only issue, where PHP7.1 is suspect. I posted another issue, regarding "Thumbnail not displaying in Phoca-Control Panel-Images", the thread can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=57695
BTW: PHP just updated, now 7.1.4 and issues still exist.
Thank you,

Re: Phoca Gallery: not detect version witrh PHP v7.1
Hi,
as I'm also using 7.0.x, can't tell the reason for not detection version with 7.1.
So, maybe it helps, if you try again, when J 3.7 is released. Coming soon!
In addition, check Joomla tracker, if there are known discrepances with PHP 7.1 etc.

Kind regards, Christine
