Text is cut off and covers photo

Post by jason640 »

How can I adjust the category name so it fits under the category image?

Hi,
[...] and covers photo
I don't see text covering photos.
Image
Text is cut off [...]
If you want to display more text:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Categories View --> Categories View Settings --> Number Of Characters In Name (Category Name)=(Standard is, I think 20, enlarge this value)

But the more text you display, the less fits into the box. Therefore, you need to increase the box height:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Categories View --> Categories View Settings --> Category Box Space=(Standard is 0, enlarge this value e.g.30 or 40)

Kind regards,
Benno

Thanks, I meant the text goes over the box, not the photo. How can I make the text smaller and fit under the box? And how do I get rid of the folder icon?

I have the same problem.
A little bit strange for me is that the text on the next page (shows subcategories of the main catageory) is smaller. Both pages show a categories view but use different font size. I would like to get the same font size for the first page than for the second page.
The CSS style seems to be completely the same but the text is shown in a different size?!?

I now enlarged the value mentioned from Benno and this enlarged the box on the first page (main category) but not at the second page (subcategories). It seems so as if I cannot influence the box of page 2 which shiws the subcategories.

Yes, because subcats are Category View not Categories View.
Go to: backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Category View --> Category View Settings -->Image Box Space=(Standard is 0, enlarge this value e.g.30 or 40)

Hallo Akkarin,
in addition to: Benno - grüß Dich :-)

yes. You could try following code (at the end of your nexus.css):

Code: Select all

.pg-csv-name, .pg-cv-name {
font-size:1em;
}
1em; = just an example - for both: categories & category view.

Kind regards, Christine

@Benno
You are right, I did mix that up. Sorry.

@Christine
Thank you that works fine. I added that in the custom.css of my template.

@jason640
Change: http://schianodevelopment.com/media/com ... efault.css
Line 20
from:

Code: Select all

.pg-csv-name {
    text-align: left;
    margin-top: 5px;
    padding-left: 20px;
    background: url(../../images/icon-folder-small.png) 0 1px no-repeat;
}
to:

Code: Select all

.pg-csv-name {
    text-align: left;
    margin-top: 5px;
    padding-left: 20px;
    font-size: small !important;
}
