Gallery in menu different from gallery in article?

I have created a category with a few images; I'm trying to get a Mosaic.

If I make a menu item to this category, it looks completely different from the gallery included in an article.
The gallery in the article does not look like a Mosaic at all, and the gallery accessed from the menu item looks like a Mosaic, but changes layout every time the screen is refreshed.

Is it normaly that the two options behave differently?

Yes, because the component and the plugin do not have the same parameters.

Ok, I thought they would about the same way.

I want the gallery included in an article, but it will not show the Mosaci layout. I visited the links you suggested, and tried with the most simple list of parameters to at least get a Mosaic layout. But it will not work.

This is the code:

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=0|limitstart=0|limitcount=5|type=1}

There are 5 images in the category, but only 3 are shown, side by side.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, there is no mosaic effect for the plugin, this can be displayed in component only.

Maybe I don't understand correctly, but there is a parameter "plugin type = mosaic" in the plugin: I thought that would display a mosaic in an article.

But, if the plugin cannot display mosaic in an article, is it at all possible to have a mosaic in an article?
