Problem with modal box size

I have Gallery installed on two sites (running Joomla 1.58 on both)...the modal box works perfectly on one (JA Purity template), overlays the album page with close button available. But with the second site (RT TerranTribune), the modal box is full size and there's no way to close it, only able to use back button, so a viewer would have to backtrack thru all viewed pictures to get back to main/catalog page.

I've compared parameters for both sites and can't see any difference - modal box dimensions same for both...how can I get the modal box to open correctly in a smaller size with close button available?

Hi, try to change the template on your second site, maybe this is caused by template...

Thanks for the reply Jan, but changing my template on the 2nd site is not really an option...too much involved to change over so I guess I'll have to live with it for now.
