It would be very hands to have settings to allow the compression level that GD uses.
One for the thumbnail and one for the "main" picture.

Hi, Phoca Gallery doesn't manipulate with original images, there can be a lot of ways how to upload original images into the gallery, so Phoca Gallery doesn't do anything with images which were uploaded e.g. via media manager or ftp... It uses these files for e.g. recreating thumbnails, rotating, download links, .... so original images may not be compressed I think... If you use jpg, the copression is set to 85%, you can change it in phoca gallery helper file...

Didn't mean the original, only the re-sized and thumbnail. your statement "the copression is set to 85%, you can change it in phoca gallery helper file" - gives me what I need. Might still be worth letting users set this in the interface.
