Hi thank you for supplying a great photo gallery component for free.
I recently started using Joomla (In the past month) so I am a novice.
I was setting up and formatting the gallery to fit my theme, yet it seems like the border of the images (on mouse over) always stays a shade of blue, no matter what I edit in the CSS files. Could you shed some like on how I may change this parameter.
Note: I did start with trying to change the value in the Parameters menu in the admin area first. With no luck though.
Thank you for your time.
Chris

Re: Mouse over Border Always Blue
The mousover effect should be changed in Parameters Component... I you get no effect, check if the id of menu link which you are editing is the same as Itemid in the front (Itemid of the menu link where you display Phoca Gallery)

Re: Mouse over Border Always Blue
Thanks for the reply, however, where would I edit the color value in the code? I tried the CSS files in the directory assets (in the components directory). But still no luck, the value keeps reverting back the the default blue (#135cae).
Is there a way to disable the image border settings in the parameters dialog box in the admin area? So I can just edit from the CSS files.
Also where are the parameter values stored?
Thanks for your help,
Chris

Why don't you use the configuration in the admin of Phoca Gallery?

When I do that, the blue border still remains, no change takes affect in my gallery. Like the link to the CSS file or class has been broken.

Hi,
If you have a Phoca Gallery version prior to 2.1.0 rc:
go to your phoca gallery menu item and change the color in the components parameters.

Re: Mouse over Border Always Blue
Hi caro84g,
I have that version installed, and when I set the border color to what I want in the admin prefs, the color remains blue. As if the link to the CSS style is broken. Do you know what class the border is so I can hard code it? Also where the style sheet is located...I thought it was in the assets directory (inside component directory) but I have had no luck.
Thanks for your responses,
Chris

Hi,
for some CSS inspection I use Firebug (a firefox addon), it's really handy...
Did you check your menu item, whether it's not set there? Menu item overrule global phoca gallery configuration.

Re: Mouse over Border Always Blue
Can I reinstall Phoca Gallery without losing my images? As in uninstall, then reinstall?
edit:
Also upon reinstalling will my photos link back to Phoca Gallery, or will I have to re-add them?

Re: Mouse over Border Always Blue
if you uninstall and then reinstall, the databases will be removed, so you have to add your images again (with descriptions etc).
You can choose to upgrade, then the databases will not be removed.
with both ways your original images won't be touched (afaik)
