There are two problems I'd like to resolve.
How can I make the main photos larger on the screen?

How do I turn off the ability for a viewer to download the photo by viewing the button? It seems daft to be there.

How can I make the main photos larger on the screen?

Delete the large thumbnails, set new size (backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Thumbnails --> Large Image Width/Height) and create them once more.

How do I turn off the ability for a viewer to download the photo by viewing the button?

backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> Category View -->
Display Download Icon=Hide
Save & Close
