Hi,
1) I have a Joomla 3.5.1 site and I want to upgrade to the latest Phoca Gallery version 4.3.0. I currently have the following PG component/modules/plugin installed on my site:
com_phocagallery_v4.2.1.zip
mod_phocagallery_image_v4.2.1.zip
mod_phocagallery_menu_v4.1.0.zip
mod_phocagallery_tree_v4.2.1.zip
com_pi_pg4.zip
2) Can you tell me what Phoca Gallery extension/modules/plugins I should install to upgrade my current site? I see the latest PG component downloads are:
com_phocagallery_v4.3.0.zip
mod_phocagallery_image_v4.3.0.zip
3) I don't use PG Themes but I noticed there is a responsive theme download:
com_phocagallery_theme_responsive.zip
Do I need to install that responsive theme to have responsive photos in the PG component? Or is that theme only if I use PG themes? I want my photos to be responsive to adjust to different screen sizes in Bootstrap but I don't want to use PG themes unless I have to.
4) When I upgrade to the newer PG version what steps do I need to take so I do not lose my current settings, configs, and galleries? I do not want to recreate all of my categories and galleries when I upgrade. On your PG download page it only says the following:
Important: After upgrade of Phoca Gallery version 2.5.x (and older) to 2.6.x go to Administration - Components - Phoca Gallery - Users and click on Authorize All button. Because in 2.6.x there is a new feature (authorize images), you need to make all images, which were added before this version, authorized to display them in the frontend.
5) Can I create a photo slideshow lightbox/modal popup in articles with PG? Or can that only be done using a PG menu item and not a Joomla article menu item?
Thanks for any advice!

Re: Upgrading from Phoca Gallery 4.2.1 to 4.3.0
Hi,
1)
com_phocagallery_v4.3.0.zip
mod_phocagallery_image_v4.3.0.zip
mod_phocagallery_menu_v4.1.0.zip
mod_phocagallery_tree_v4.2.1.zip
3) Yes, you can install the responsive theme - it only adds new custom css - which you can disable everytime you need and changes the Options which you can chage back too.
4) Are you upgrading Phoca Gallery 2.5? I think not, you are upgrading Phoca Gallery 4 so this is guide for obsolete versions and upgrade between obsolete versions
5) In plugin you can display images of Phoca Gallery and when clicking on them, the popup/modal will be rendered (this will be rendered with help of component but you still in plugin)
