Language installation problem

Zdravím,
instalace češtiny mi hlásí chybu: JInstaller: :Instalace: Nepodařilo se zkopírovat soubor atd.
Používám virtuální stroj s předinstalovanou Joomlou 3.5 od Bitnami (je to osekané Ubuntu 14.04 běžící v textovém módu).
Protože ještě před pár dny, na obyčejném LAMPu bez virtualizace, jsem češtinu nainstalovala bez potíží, vyzkoušela jsem i předchozí verzi galerie - nepomohlo to.
Zkoušela jsem instalaci s uploadem balíčku i instalaci ze složky. FTP mám vypnuté a docela ráda bych ho tak i nechala.
Nepomohlo ani chown 777 na cílový adresář nebo manuální nakopírování .ini souboru.
V čem by mohl být problém?

installation of czech language package gives me this error: JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file etc.
This problem occures on the virtual machine with preinstalled Joomla 3.5 from Bitnami (it's minimalistic Ubuntu 14.04 without GUI).
Few days ago, on my ordinary non-virtualized LAMP, everything worked smoothly, so I tried the previous version of gallery too - it didn't help.
I tried to install through package file upload and either the installation from tmp folder. FTP is off and I would prefere to let it off.
Even chown 777 for destination directory and copying the .ini file manually didn't work.
Any advices?

JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file etc.

above response mostly occurs resulting of wrong permissions. Even you hv set to 777, which is not a good idea.
(Should be 755/644, respec. configuration.php 444)

So, does your web-space running as apache module or via CGI (= better).
In addition: check directions permissions / ownership > file/folders and correct path tmp/logs.
Ask your hoster please.
