Administrator menu item is missing

Hello

Recently the server got an update to php 5.5 and the phoca gallery menu in the administration is missing, i updated to 4.2.2 and still the problem persists. THe same happened with other components but if i reinstall them they show up in the menu.
If i go to the url of the component: option=com_phocagallery is there is just the menu thats missing.

Can you help me? thank you.

Hi, hmm, I don't know what exactly happens in Joomla! (it is common problem). The solution is to remove the component completely and install it again. The problem is, backup must be done and then the data newly added:

It is somehow related to items in Joomla! database tables, where wrong information is stored about the component

Yeah in the end i had to do that and the problem was solved...
