Creating thumbs is interrupted

Hi there,

I'm an absolute newbie to Phoca and tried to install it on my Joomla 3.5.1 site - installation of the com went fine, so did the installation of the slideshow.

BUT: when I try to add the jpegs I uploaded via ftp to the category, I get the following bug:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocate 61341696) (tried to allocate 16000 bytes) in /homepages/ etc./administrators/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 229

and the creation of the thumbs stops.

Even if I try to re-initiate the thumb-creation afterwards, Joomla tells me, the thumbs where created, but they were NOT.

What can I do???

BTW: Permissions are 755 for the image-folder as well as for the thumbs-folder, which is empty...

Hallo Steffen,

in die php.ini wirst Du wohl keinen Zugang haben. Schau zunächst mal in Deine .htaccess ob da diesbezüglich was eingetragen ist.

Ich würde an Deiner Stelle den Hoster ersuchen, das memory_limit zu erhöhen. So ca. 200 bis 260MB oder so.
Ev. auch schauen, wie die Werte von: post_max_size aussehen.

DANKE für Deine Hinweise!

Es ist offenbar tatsächlich so, dass meine Uralt-Hosting-Verträge hier viel zu geringe limits aufwiesen - ich habe die Verträge gleich geändert.

Bei 1&1 kann ich dann eigene php.inis definieren - in welchen Verzeichnissen muss ich die denn dann hinterlegen, damit es funzt (bin php-Analphabet...).

PS: Auch ohne eine explizite php.ini funzt das Erstellen der thumbs jetzt mit den neuen Speicherwerten problemlos!!! DANKE!!!
